Thank you for considering the purchase of a lot in the Kohala Waterfront Subdivision. We would like to take a moment to give you some background on the developer, as well as tell you about our plans for Kohala Waterfront.

Who We Are (The Team):

Kohala Waterfront Joint Venture is a partnership between Kohala Makai One and Kohala Hawaii Development Corp. Kohala Makai One (KMO) is a Limited Partnership who has owned the property since 1979. KMO’s general and limited partners are Hawaii residents and live throughout the islands, but are predominately located on Maui. Kohala Hawaii Development Corp. is a Hawaii Corporation formed in 1995, with Steve and Dan Goodfellow as Principals. Steve and Dan Goodfellow, through various development vehicles, have been developing projects in the Islands for more than ten years. Additionally, they are the Principals in Goodfellow Bros., Inc. Goodfellow Bros., Inc., our sitework contractor, is a General Contractor established in 1921. During their past 27 years of working in the Hawaiian Islands, some of their many credits include the recent completion of the Four Seasons Hualalai Golf Course, as well as the Hapuna Prince Course, sitework at many of the Hapuna and Waikoloa subdivisions including The Bluffs at Mauna Kea.

Brooks, Tom, Porter and Quitiquit - S.V. “Bud” Quitiquit, an attorney in Kona for 20 years, is the attorney for the project. He has taken much time and care in drafting documents for the subdivision.

C and H Properties, Inc. is our sales and marketing agent. They are North Hawaii’s largest and oldest real brokerage firm specializing in oceanfront and project sales. Year after year, C and H Properties, Inc. and its staff of experienced agents have maintained a predominate share of the oceanfront market along the Kohala Coast.

Title Guaranty of Hawaii, Inc. is our title company. They have recently celebrated their 100th year in business and are underwritten by Ticor of California. Title Guaranty Escrow Services, Inc. is our escrow company. We find them to be consistently prompt and professional.

Belt Collins Hawaii has been selected as our engineer and planner. They have recently received honors for their exceptional design work at the Four Seasons Hualalai Resort on the Big Island. Exceptional natural topography has provided a pallet to design Kohala Waterfront maximizing views.

Pacific Kona Landscaping, Inc. is designing and planning Kohala Waterfront’s entry feature, landscaping , and irrigation. Brenda Lam, President, with licenses both in Landscape Architecture and Construction, has provided services to major resort developments, as well as commercial and residential clients. With almost two decades of experience on the Island of Hawaii’s West Coast, Pacific Kona Landscaping, has a working knowledge of the coast’s climate, micro environments, plant material, and soil and rock conditions.
